Our new SIRCHMARK UV Evidence Tape provides an extra measure of security. Certain commercially available chemicals may be applied to some adhesives causing it to release long enough to allow removal of the tape. SIRCHMARK UV Tape is treated with an invisible ultraviolet stain and if the tape is successfully removed, it leaves behind telltale fluorescence visible under longwave UV light. The accompanying photo (to the right) shows one of our Tyvek Evidence Envelopes where the original seal was removed and replaced, but the envelope’s surface is covered with a fluorescent stain ”indicating that the seal had been tampered with.
