Description
The FX10AC and FX10BC Video-Based Forensic Optical Comparators have been engineered to accommodate high-resolution color video cameras matched to superior optics. The FX10BC model features a built-in LCD monitor and both have a newly developed internal digital circuitry coupled to an eyelevel control panel. These units will feed directly into video monitors, recorders or computers equipped with video capture capability. If color viewing is not a necessity, choose from our FX10A or FX10B unit. Not just a fingerprint comparator, these instruments permit the examination of a variety of items of forensic interest. The laboratory-grade focusing jacks permit viewing of both two-dimensional and three-dimensional objects. The optics offer exceptional depth-of-field ”even when viewing curved surfaces. Not only do you get both vertical and horizontal split screens for evidence comparison, you also have the ability to overlay (superimpose) one image over another.
Push-button controls are at eye-level on the front of the unit and allow the operator to access various functions such as VERTICAL SPLIT-SCREEN (L/R), HORIZONTAL SPLIT-SCREEN (T/B), FADE for image overlay, DIFFERENCE superimposes A over a reverse image of B, FREEZE B image, and EXCHANGE A and B inputs. The MIX rotary knob adjusts the amount of the split or fade ratio. For precision adjustments of image size, two large zoom controls are provided at the top of the unit.
